The Path that Finds You is a visual journey into the liminal worlds we pass through, as told through the classic story arc of Joseph Campbell’s “The Hero’s Journey”. In this framework, an ordinary person receives a call to leave the familiar, undergoes a transformative adventure, and then returns home a changed person, a hero bearing newfound wisdom or gifts.
This series as a whole brings into focus the space between what was and what is becoming; between the known and unknown; and between the departure and the return home, transformed.
Each painting captures a moment along the path, be it a dream, a guide, a challenge, a loss, a turning point, a gift... Together as a series, they are an invitation to step into unseen worlds, and walk along the path with curiosity, presence, and an open heart. While this may not be the path you wanted, it is the one that finds you. Now you get to choose how you walk it.
As Ram Dass says, “We’re all just walking each other home.”
